About Zistine Scovia
In a small village tucked away in the rolling hills of Kisoro, Uganda, a little girl named Zistine Scovia, lovingly called Tiine, wakes up before the sun. She stretches her arms, rubs her eyes, and listens to the sounds of the world waking up around her—the rustling banana leaves, the distant laughter of children, and her mother, Vumiria Furaha, softly humming as she prepares for the day.
Tiine is 12 years old. Like any other child, she has big dreams. She dreams of learning, of running freely on a school field, of playing netball with her friends, and of a future where her family no longer struggles. But life has not been easy for her.
Born in Congo, Tiine and her family faced unimaginable hardships. The war-torn reality of her homeland forced them to seek refuge in Uganda, where they settled in Kamugyemanyi, Kisoro.
Despite the fresh start, life here has not been simple. Her father is gone, leaving her mother to raise three children alone, Moses, Rebecca, and Bahati. Every day is a battle for survival, yet her mother holds on, doing her best to keep her children fed and clothed.
But education, the one thing that could change Tiine’s life forever, is slipping away.
A Light in the Darkness
When Cornerstone Preparatory School was built near her village, it was a miracle. Tiine finally had a chance to sit in a classroom, hold a book, and dream of something bigger. She loves learning, but school comes with challenges. Some days, she comes to class on an empty stomach. Other days, she worries about school fees, knowing her mother cannot always afford them.
Still, she remains hopeful. She dances to forget her worries. She plays netball to feel strong. And she smiles, even when life gets tough.
But behind that smile is a silent plea. A plea for someone to see her. A plea for someone to believe in her dreams.
You Can Change Tiine’s Life
A sponsorship would mean food on her plate, books in her hands, and a future within reach. It would mean she never has to worry about missing school. It would mean her mother’s burden is lighter, and her dreams don’t have to be out of reach.
Tiine is ready to shine. Will you help her?
By sponsoring Tiine, you give her a chance at a brighter tomorrow. You give her the chance to grow, to learn, and to break free from the cycle of poverty.
Her journey is just beginning.
Be the reason she keeps dreaming.
