About Niwamumpere Aluvin

In the lush hills of Rushaga, Kisoro, where mist blankets the early mornings and children's laughter echoes through the Irish potato fields, lives a spirited little boy named Niwamumpere Aluvin, fondly called Alu by everyone in his village.

Aluvin is just 5 years old, but his tiny hands already know the feel of the earth. He loves digging, his favorite pastime, and proudly helps his parents, both humble peasants, in their garden. With no toys or gadgets, Alu creates joy from the simplest things, handmade balls from banana fiber, games made from sticks, and songs learned at Heart 2 Heart Nursery School, a small but beautiful school planted near his village to bring education closer to children like him.

Aluvin wakes up every day with a spark in his eyes. He doesn't complain when breakfast is only a cup of porridge, and he never misses a class, even when the rain turns the paths to mud. His dream? To one day become "someone who helps others", his words, spoken with innocence but filled with hope.

His parents, Agaba Dismus and Nansasira Prossy, work tirelessly in the fields, earning barely enough to feed their children, Aluvin, and his two older sisters, Tallent and Titus. Despite their efforts, education remains a luxury they can’t afford.

But Aluvin is not asking for much. Just a chance.
