Born into the Batwa community, one of Uganda’s most marginalized indigenous groups, Raashe’s life is filled with both joy and challenges. While she is fortunate to live with her parents, her family struggles with financial hardships that make accessing quality education difficult. But Raashe is a fighter—she refuses to let circumstances define her future.

Every morning, she wakes up with excitement, ready to walk to Cornerstone Preparatory School, a small school that was built to bring education closer to children in her village. Here, she is learning, growing, and discovering a world beyond her community. She especially loves dancing—it is her way of expressing joy and hope. She also has an insatiable curiosity and loves to learn new things, always eager to absorb knowledge that can change her life.
