About Ayinembabazi Angel

In the quiet hills of Kisoro, Uganda, a little girl named Ayinembabazi Angel runs barefoot through the dusty paths of Kamugyemanyi. Her laughter, as pure as the morning sun, echoes through the village as she plays with her friends. At just six years old, Angel is a bundle of energy, her tiny feet carrying her swiftly as she dashes from one corner of the village to another. Running is her greatest joy, her escape, and her dream.

But behind her radiant smile lies a story of struggle, a story of a mother’s resilience and a child’s quiet longing for a brighter future.

Angel was born to Nyiransegiyunva Scovia, a Mutwa woman, and Sunday Tarasisi, a Muhutu man. In many parts of Uganda, particularly in Kisoro, the Batwa people remain marginalized, their presence is often met with prejudice. Because of this, when Angel’s father learned of Scovia’s pregnancy, he chose to walk away, unwilling to bear the weight of a child born to a Mutwa mother.

Like many Batwa women, Scovia faced this burden alone. With no stable source of income, she struggled to provide for her daughter. When she was born in 2019, Scovia and her baby barely had food to eat not even a roof over their head, and could never dream of Education.

This is the fate all the Batwa and their children had to live with given they had no stable source of income and no one was willing to offer a decent job, and even with the small irregular jobs they have, they are always cheated and not paid the value they deserve and sometimes offered alcohol as payment.

This went on and on until Friends of Batwa International came in to offer help, since 2021, the 12 Twelve Batwa Families in Angle’s community have gotten decent houses, and household items to use, Friends of Batwa has built a school, cornerstone preparatory school where Angel is currently attending school.

However, the weight is too big for Friends of Batwa to carry alone, that is why, Angel needs a sponsor, someone who believes in her potential, who sees the spark in her and wants to fan it into a flame. A sponsorship wouldn’t just mean school fees; it would mean hope. It would mean a meal each day, proper school supplies, and the chance to chase her dreams without the weight of poverty holding her back. It would mean a little girl could continue to run, not just for fun, but toward a future where she can thrive.

Would you be the one to give Angel the wings she needs to soar? Would you stand with her, showing her that she is not alone, that she is valued, that she matters?

Your sponsorship could change everything for Angel. It could be the difference between a childhood of struggle and a life of opportunity. Be the reason she keeps running toward education, toward success, toward a future filled with possibility.

Sponsor Angel today, and watch her dreams take flight.
