About Amutuheire Immaculate (Maacu)

In the rolling green hills of Rushaga, Uganda, nestled in the quiet village of Nyamatsinda, lives a little girl with a big heart and a radiant smile, Amutuheire Immaculate, affectionately known as Maacu. At just 9 years old, Maacu is already a light in her family and community, a girl full of dreams, energy, and promise.

Born on November 2nd, 2016, Maacu is the youngest daughter in a family of seven children. Despite the challenges of living in a rural area where opportunities are limited and resources are stretched thin, she faces each day with joy and determination. Her parents, Baryayebwa Herbert and Natukunda Rose, are hardworking peasants who cultivate small plots of land to feed their family. They work tirelessly to provide for their children, but the cost of quality education remains a struggle.

Maacu loves to dance. Whether during school music time or family gatherings in the village, her face lights up as she moves to the rhythm, joyful, free, and full of life. She also enjoys singing, playing netball with friends, and helping her parents in the garden. At Heart 2 Heart Nursery School, where she is currently in the Top class, her teachers say she is attentive, playful, and eager to learn. The school, which was established to bring education closer to children in remote areas like hers, has been a beacon of hope.

Despite all she brings to the world, her cheerfulness, willingness to help, and love for learning, Maacu’s dreams could remain just dreams without support. With a sponsor, Maacu can receive the consistent education, access to basic school supplies, and proper nutrition that every growing child needs.
