About Akangwanaho Yosamu

In the quiet hills of Nyamatsinda village in Rushaga, nestled deep within Kisoro, Uganda, lives an 8-year-old boy named Akangwanaho Yosamu, lovingly called Yosa by those who know him. With bright eyes and a warm smile, Yosa is a child full of life, curiosity, and quiet determination.

Every morning, he walks the dusty path to Heart 2 Heart Nursery School, a beacon of hope built near his home so children like him could dream beyond the horizon of their village. He loves his school; his favorite part of the day is playing with sticks, building tiny houses out of sticks, or helping the teacher with minor repairs around the classroom. His hands are small, but they are strong and full of purpose. He tells his teacher he wants to become a builder someday, a big one who makes homes where people feel happy."

Yosa lives with his parents, Masanyu Laban and Mugabigwe Giragisi, and his three siblings in a modest home built from mud and timber. His parents are hardworking peasants who till the land from sunrise to sunset, doing all they can to provide for their children. Life is simple, but far from easy. Some days, the harvest isn’t enough. Sometimes, there’s barely enough to eat, let alone to cover school supplies, clothes, or medical care.

But still, Yosa dreams.

He dreams of learning how to build substantial houses so families like his won’t have to worry when the rain comes. He dreams of fixing things, of creating safe spaces, and of changing his community one brick at a time.

All he needs is a little help to get there.

Your sponsorship could be the turning point in Yosa’s life, a gift of opportunity and dignity. It can help him with essentials like meals, school materials, uniforms, and medical care. More than anything, it tells Yosa, “You matter. You are seen. You are not alone.”

Will you be the one to stand beside this little builder with a big heart?

Together, we can build not just homes, but a future filled with hope, brick by brick, dream by dream.
